Internal Examinations

Internal examinations are a crucial part of each student’s academic journey, providing a valuable opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge, identify strengths, and prepare for future external examinations. Throughout the examination period, all students are expected to follow the same rules and regulations that apply to public examinations to ensure a fair and professional environment. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure they check their Teams messages every day for updates or changes to exams.

These assessments help students gain experience of formal examination conditions, develop effective exam techniques, and build confidence ahead of their GCSE and other external qualifications. The results, together with ongoing classroom assessments, will be used to inform future teaching, monitor progress, and support students in achieving their full potential.

We encourage all students to prepare thoroughly and make use of the revision resources provided by their teachers. Parents and carers also play a vital role in supporting effective revision habits and helping students approach their examinations with confidence. We encourage all parents to discuss the exam timetable with their child, provide a quiet and distraction free environment to revise for the PPEs.

On this page, you will find key information relating to internal examinations, including timetables, examination regulations and revision guidance.
