World Science Day
From the universe expanding to the phones in our pockets, science is everywhere.
Each year, on 10th of November, the World Science Day for Peace and Development helps our Barnhillians to remember this fact and offers an opportunity for everyone to engage in scientific debates and activities.
To celebrate the occasion, over 750 students from Key Stage 3 collaboratively participated in the investigation ‘How much mass can aluminium foil boats float?’, whereby they displayed our school’s fundamental values (respect, wisdom, aspiration and community), consequently fueling their passion to be the next generation of scientists.
Our students understand that when we celebrate science, it creates the desire in our youth to explore and experiment and develop problem-solving skills and an understanding of the world.
