Y7 Trip to the Science Museum
The Year 7’s visited the Science Museum for their Deep Learning Day.
The Science Museum tells the stories of the extraordinary human achievement and technological advances that have helped humanity overcome challenges throughout history. From Helen Sharman’s iconic space suit to Amy Johnson’s marvellous Gipsy Moth aeroplane, these incredible stories help ignite curiosity, encourage scientific endeavour and spark the imagination.
The children enjoyed a day of scientific discovery outside the classroom and learning how far we have come in the field of science and technology.
Shreya from 7a was most impressed with the sculptures in the museum and was curious as to how the larger and heavier models were manoeuvred into place. She was inspired to learn about more about women in science and keen to go back to try out the interactive games and activity areas of the museum.
