Armaan, sixth form student, invites a former Barnhillian to return and share his story and success.
This all came about when Armaan was granted a day off in the autumn term to attend a taster day at a City Law Firm, BDB Pitmans in order to explore and inform his post sixth form decisions and career choices.
This year the Sixth Form Leadership, supported by Ms Bertin and Miss Taylor, were able to host the biggest scale Culture Day seen so far.
Year 12s took part in a dedicated enrichment session on the conventions of respectable debating. The focus of the seminar was on how to debate with precision and decorum, whilst maintaining a persuasive tone through the effective use of rhetoric.
A Year 10 student won some funding from Jack Petchey which she used to purchase ingredients for a baking event with a small group of Year 10 students.

For deep learning day at the end of the spring term the social sciences team took year 11's to Whipsnade Zoo. Many students were excited for the opportunity to take a break from their intensive study and relax before the fast approaching exam season.
A year 9 student secured a funding allocation from Jack Petchey and with her money decided to get a small group of female students to go to a women's football match The young ladies got to watch two London rivals, Chelsea vs Arsenal play in the Women's Super League at Stamford Bridge on 15th March
During DLD, the Sixth Formers developed their cultural capital by taking part in the London River cruise and London Eye trip, and it was an experience to remember. Despite the less-than-ideal weather, the students were determined to make the most of their day and take in the historical sites that London has to offer.
Another fantastic concert delivered by our music department lead Mr Taylor and supported by Mr C Jones and an array of talent amongst our student performers and stage hands.
Year 12 A-Level students studying the British Empire 1857-1967 were bought books on the subject to deepen their understanding of such an important topic and promote a love of reading.
Barnhill top readers were rewarded a trip to the second biggest library in the world, the British Library. The Year 7 and 8 students who have read the most books in a term, discovered the Treasures Gallery and other collections within the library as well as the King's Library Tower.
