New House Point System

Barnhill Community High School is excited to introduce its new House System, designed to foster teamwork, school spirit, and a healthy sense of competition among students. The school has been divided into four vibrant houses: Yellow, Green, Blue, and Red, with every student allocated to one of these teams. The House System encourages students to participate actively in school life, as house tokens can be earned for attending clubs, excelling in lessons, and taking part in form-time challenges. Tokens are collected in designated house collectors, and at the end of each half term, the house with the most tokens will be crowned the winner and receive an exciting reward.

A unique and exciting feature of our House System is that the house logos have been designed by our very own students, showcasing the incredible creativity and talent within our school. These outstanding designs were celebrated in a special assembly before Christmas, where the winning students were rewarded for their exceptional contributions. Well done to all our talented designers—your work will represent your houses for years to come!

As a result of the Yellow Team winning last term, they enjoyed a well-deserved non-school uniform day on the last day of term, a fantastic way to celebrate their hard work and team spirit.

To add to the excitement, there will also be inter-house activities and competitions woven into form times and lessons, allowing students to showcase their talents and contribute to their team’s success. The House System aims to promote a sense of belonging, encourage participation, and celebrate achievements in every aspect of school life. Let the house battles begin—earn those tokens and help your team to victory!
